Rebecca Lever studied pharmacy at King’s College London, followed by pre-registration training in hospital pharmacy, before returning to King’s to undertake a PhD in pharmacology under the supervision of Professor Clive Page. Following this, she carried out post-doctoral work in the same group, investigating the anti-inflammatory effects of heparin and related molecules, before being appointed as lecturer in pharmacology at the (now UCL) School of Pharmacy in 2002 and senior lecturer in 2007. Her research interests continue to focus on inflammation, particularly in relation to vascular endothelial function. She is currently Associate Director (Education) at the UCL School of Pharmacy.
